11 inches!

I started growing out my hair when I found out I was pregnant with Jack, which means it took about 2 years to grow this:

I decided at some point it would be a cool to donate it to Locks of Love, but when I found out you have to have 10 inches, I never though I'd make it.

But...I did! So today was the day & my amazing hair stylist helped me take the plunge. I was kind of surprised how attached I'd gotten to my long hair (& there may have been a few tears at the sound of the first cut).

However...did I mention my awesome hairstylist? She did a great job & here are the after shots:

I love it, & I'm really glad that I get to be a part of some sweet kiddo getting a customized hairpiece of her (or his) own!

Verses from Philippians

1:21: For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

3:7-8: But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
3:12-14:Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
